Recently, temperatures have dropped sharply in many regions. The cold winter not only affects people, but also places higher “cold-resistance” demands on workshop equipment. Precision machines such as laser template machines require especially careful maintenance during this season to ensure stable and efficient performance.

Today, we share a practical winter maintenance guide for SUPREME template machines to help your equipment operate smoothly throughout the cold season.


Daily Maintenance – Small Steps, Big Protection

Spending just 10 minutes on the following checks before starting work each day can prevent most unexpected failures:

1. Pressure Frame & Thread Path Inspection

Check whether thread ends or fabric debris remain in the pressure frame groove to ensure smooth threading and avoid thread breakage or material jamming.

2. Laser Head Cleaning

Gently wipe the laser head surface with a clean soft cloth to remove residue or dust, ensuring stable laser output quality.

3. Air Pressure Check

Verify that the air pressure remains stable above 0.5 MPa. Insufficient pressure may affect machine performance.

4. Power & Button Test

After startup, test all function buttons to ensure responsive operation without sticking or malfunction.

5. Cooling System Check

Confirm that the laser cooling water tank is at a normal level and that the exhaust fan operates without abnormal noise.

6. Laser Generator Cooling Water

Check that the purified water in the laser generator tank is sufficient and clean.

7. End-of-Day Cleaning (10 minutes)

Use an air gun to remove fabric fibers, dust, and debris from the worktable to prevent buildup that may affect laser movement and positioning accuracy.

8. Shutdown Procedure (Two Steps)

At the end of each workday, turn off the power switch first, then the air supply switch. Do not reverse the order.


Regular Maintenance – The Key to Long Equipment Life

1. New Machine Initial Maintenance

After 20 days of operation, perform the first lubrication grease application.

2. Lubrication Schedule

After initial maintenance, add grease every 2 months to ensure smooth operation of guide rails and transmission systems.

3. Lens Maintenance

  • Reflective mirror: clean gently with alcohol wipes every 2 weeks

  • Optical lens inside output tube: clean once a month to prevent dust from affecting beam quality

4. Laser Tube Replacement

Replace the laser generator when cutting performance declines, such as incomplete cutting, uneven edges, or noticeable power reduction.

  1. Clean debris from the dust extraction box every 4 hours of operation

  2. After cleaning, add 1–3 cm of water inside the box for dust suppression and fire prevention

  3. Check suction ducts every 8 hours to ensure they are not blocked

  4. Regularly inspect air inlet, outlet, and exhaust pipes to maintain smooth ventilation


Winter Special Protection – Anti-Freezing Guide

If workshop temperature is low (especially at night), take proper anti-freezing measures for the cooling system:

Before startup, ensure antifreeze is added to the cooling tank. Do not operate the machine without antifreeze (recommended: Kolin laser antifreeze).

Recommended Mixing Ratios:

  • 6:4 (antifreeze:water) → -35°C to -45°C

  • 5:5 → -25°C to -35°C

  • 4:6 → -15°C to -25°C

  • 3:7 → -5°C to -15°C

  • 2:8 → -2°C to -5°C

  • 0:10 (pure water) → above 0°C
